This year sees Stephen Keemer and the talented TONI&GUY Derby team celebrate 25 years of success.
The salon launched in February 1998 on Market Place and has seen many changes in the local area. Stephen commented: Despite the ever changing face of the City we have retained many loyal clients who continue to remain loyal after 25 years and have continued to sustain our reputation as a premium brand. Over the 25 years we have employed in excess of 50 stylists many who remain working within the company or have gone on to open their own T&G salons in the UK & around the world including Australia, Hong Kong & Sardinia.
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the salon is offering complimentary treatments with all colour services throughout the month, hosting a vip party/client event for their top 100 most loyal clients & much more.
TONI&GUY Derby is well respected within the local community, with some customers having been regulars since the salon opened its doors in 1998.
In the time that the salon has been open, the team has had many acheivements:
- 2 Time Midlands British Hairdressing Awards Finalist
- Loreal colour trophy Finalists
- Worked on numerous London Fashion Week shows as part of TONI&GUY’s sponsorship of the event.
- Transformed numerous brides-to-be
- Shaved heads for charity
- Taken part in dozens of fashion shows
- Trained 25 apprentices
- Used over 5000 litres of shampoo and 2000 litres of hairspray!
Stephen began working at TONI&GUY Guildford in 1990 and rapidly rose through the ranks joining the junior Art team along the way where he was then asked to teach at the prestigious London Academy. From there he moved north to Nottingham where he opened the companies first Midlands salon in 1994 with the Derby branch following 4 years later.
