LoyalFree is an app which is fully funded by the Cathedral Quarter BID and is available FREE to all levy paying businesses to help them promote their business to local users.
The app allows you to promote your business for free to hundreds of local app users through offering incentives, deals and digital loyalty schemes, as well as advertising your events and running in app competitions.
The app can also help attract customers from other areas. Both Leicester and Loughborough have very large LoyalFree followings and if any of their followers visit Derby, the geo-location will default to show all the offers available to them in our area.
How does the app build my customer base?
Whenever someone looks at your profile on the LoyalFree app, it captures their details and adds them to your ‘LoyalBase’. This allows you to build your own database and market to them via push notifications to their mobile phones.
Why would I want to build a digital database?
The digital database can help you target customers with automatic notifications. For example, Say your business has a quiet day of the week, you could send a push notification to your database offering them an incentive to visit on that day such as a discount offer or a free gift with a purchase, the options are endless!
Unlike Facebook or Instagram, the notifications are instant and will be sent directly to the mobile phones of just those people in your database, allowing more direct targeting.
What offers can I add to the app?
The offers are completely up to you but it has to be enticing for the user. You have access to your own dashboard so you can experiment and see what works best for your business.

What is the digital loyalty scheme?
You can reward loyal customers and incentivise their next visit with the digital loyalty scheme. App users collect stamps by scanning a QR code (provided to you) and can collect as many ‘cards’ as they like in their LoyalFree wallet.

- Get £10 off your 5th visit
- Get a complimentary hair treatment when you book for a cut and colour

What Insights Can I get from the LoyalFree App?
The app allows you to see how many people have visited your profile and who exactly has redeemed your offers and how many times. It also shows the date and time of each visit so you can see how often that individual visits your store.
