Motion – The Midlands Trance Festival Presents Will Rees, Maria Healy plus support

After the phenomenal success of the Midlands Trance Festival in 2024 at the Bluenote in Derby, we’re back with a stellar lineup. As an added treat, we will be taking over the Bluenote, making some changes to feature a centre stage complete with lasers, lighting, and effects to elevate the experience even further.
For our Spring 2025 edition, we are ramping things up, bringing you an incredible lineup of headliners and support acts that you won’t want to miss. This once again will be an event that runs from afternoon to evening 2pm till 11pm.
Our headliners:
Will Rees – We are very excited to bring Will to Motion as we feel his sound fits perfectly with what Motion is all about!
Will’s unique sound of euphoric melodies & driving basslines have landed him releases that are consistently reaching the top of the Beatport charts including ‘Need You’ a modern Trance classic, ‘Burnin’ Up’, ‘Vitality’, ‘Waking Dream’ & his massive remix for the world’s biggest Trance DJ Armin Van Buuren ‘Clear Blue Moon’. He is regularly seen releasing his music on Kearnage Recordings, Armada, Outburst & Subculture. On top of this, he has remixed for artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery & Bryan Kearney, Craig Connelly & Mark Sherry to name a few.
His passion and dedication to the scene has taken him to some of the world’s biggest dance events including Creamfields, Dreamstate, FSOE, Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, Luminosity & has played all over the world including USA, Asia & all over Europe.
Maria Healy – we are thrilled to announce the Queen of Trance herself:
Maria Healy is undoubtedly the most exciting female artist in trance right now. Over the past few years, Maria has consistently released tracks on Subculture, Kearnage, GOMusic, Regenerate, and Vandit. Her music regularly features in the playlists of A-listers like John O’Callaghan, Bryan Kearney, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Sean Tyas. Maria has become synonymous with producing and playing quality uplifting and tech trance.
A regular on the trance touring calendar, Maria has performed at some of the world’s biggest trance events, including Subculture, Luminosity, Liberation, and Cream. In 2019, she was nominated for ‘Best Female Artist’ in the IDMA awards.
