The ‘We’re Good to Go’ Industry Standard for the Tourism Industry

29/06/2020
As more and more businesses get ready to reopen in the city, we need to reassure employees, visitors and residents that Derby businesses are prepared and have all the necessary precautions in place to help people stay safe.
Visit Derby would like to make you aware of a UK-wide industry standard consumer mark designed to recognise the hard work that businesses have put in place to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines.

We would like to suggest that you, as a visitor facing businesses owner, complete the short application to apply for the mark and help encourage more people to visit Derby.

The standard has been launched by VisitEngland in partnership with other national tourist organisations to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for tourism as the sector works towards reopening.  It is a great opportunity for Derby to be part of this national scheme and will also show that we are open and ready for business. Successful Derby applicants will have the mark included on their visitderby web listing, be added to a We’re Good to Go campaign page and benefit from additional social media activity.

The application will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and you need to make sure you have read the relevant Government and Public Health guidance before you begin.  It is completely free of charge to apply. Upon successful completion of the application, you will be sent a secure link to download your certificate, mark and a toolkit with practical steps for telling your customers that your business is Good to Go. Once you are signed-up you will also be part of an ‘alert’ system and will be notified if there are changes to the official guidance.

More information about the We’re Good to Go scheme including how to apply, FAQ’s and Key Government Guidance can be found here.

The scheme is free to join and available to businesses across the sector.
