Derby City Centre retains Purple Flag status

The Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) have confirmed that Derby has retained its Purple Flag status for a further year.

Purple Flag is an international accreditation scheme which recognises excellence in managing the evening and night-time economy, the BID has played a key role in helping to retain Purple Flag Status for the city. Those cities in receipt of this award benefit from more visitors, lower crime and anti-social behaviour and improved perceptions.

The award recognises the work of Derby City Council, Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter BIDs and the businesses in the area in providing a safe and enjoyable night out in the city.
