The long awaiting Becketwell scheme has been given the green light by Derby City Council.

The £200 million regeneration project plans to create hundreds of new homes and leisure space in the heart of the city centre is hoped to bring benefits to the area, including an increase in city centre living which will help boost activity for the evening economy.

The project has already started with the demolition of the former Debenhams building currently under way.
