Business Support Grant Update.
Many Cathedral Quarter businesses have made applications to Derby City Council for the Government’s Business Support Grant
If you haven’t done this so far, you can do so via this LINK
You will need:
- Set up a new myAccount (even if you already have one)
- Your full name, phone number, email and date of birth
- Your business name
- your business rates account number
- company number (if registered with companies house)
- VAT registration number (if registered for VAT with HMRC)
- Your job title
- the address of the business you’re requesting the grant for
- business banking information; sort code and account number
All businesses will receive a Covid Business Support grant reference number upon successful online application. If a reference number has not been received please re-submit.
Once businesses have their reference number, the Council request that all businesses wait 10 days from their application submission before sending any follow up emails.
If you cannot find or do not know your business rates account number, it should be on your latest Rates bill.
We are aware that the Derby City Council Rates Team is inundated with queries so if you are unable to find your business rates reference number, the BID may be able check this for you.

- Your full Name
- The account holders name
- Your Business Name,
- Postal Address including Postal Code.
- Telephone number
- Preferred email address
The BID will then search through details accessible to them and respond back to you. If we do not hold these records then we will direct you to contact the Derby City Council Rates Team on 01332 642428.
