The Cathedral Quarter BID is producing a Winter 2019 issue of CQ Life. This will be published at the beginning of November and distributed to key postcodes in and around the city as well as sites in the Cathedral Quarter. It will also be available to view online. This represents a fantastic opportunity for you to publicise your business at this important time of year – FREE OF CHARGE.
CQ Life focuses on editorial with lifestyle features that will be illustrated by products, advice and services provided by Cathedral Quarter businesses. The following is planned for the Winter 2019 issue. For each section we have given you some tips on what you may wish to include. NB: the key to ‘selling’ your business through coverage in the magazine is to provide a high quality (at least 2MB) colour photograph.
- Glorious Gifts: illustrated with photos and brief copy on Christmas gift ideas for the all the family from handbags to vouchers. There will also be an introduction from a CQ independent retailer about the benefits of shopping in this area (please get in touch if you would like to be interviewed for this article);
- Celebrate in Style: venues (food & drink and cultural) to celebrate with family, friends and colleagues; party hair and beauty tips; fashion ideas. There will be an introduction from a CQ business person about why they love celebrating Christmas/New Year in the CQ (again, please get in touch if you are interested in being featured in this)
- New Year, New You: Quotes from CQ business people on what their resolutions are this year (let’s hear what you have to say) and then resolution ideas from businesses eg: fitness, wellbeing, supporting a good cause, taking up a new hobby (please think creatively as this section could be relevant to practically all businesses in the CQ!)
- The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Main feature – This could be top tips from a head chef for the perfect Christmas lunch, matching wines/beers with festive fayre or how to create your own signature family cocktail (great way to promote your expertise so please get in touch if you would like to be featured). Then different sections on home décor ideas; food for the table; family Christmas day outfits; family entertainment – be it games, musical instruments or audio/visual equipment etc…
