Safer Internet Day 11th February 2020

10/02/2020

Derbyshire Constabulary are offering a free presentation or cyber security review for your business.

Nearly every employee today requires access to the internet to ensure a smooth running of business operations and communications. Whilst the internet is a great and somewhat essential part of everyday life and business, it can also cause great harm if not protected properly against criminals who are trying to exploit it to commit crime. Malware and other viruses can damage, steal or encrypt business information and resources if a strong cyber security posture is not implemented.

Cyber Crime costs the UK billions of pounds and unfortunately anyone from large organisations, SME’s to private individuals could become a victim.

Use Safer Internet Day 2020 to consider how you approach your online security, to revive awareness within your organisation of the importance of all staff understanding their key role in cyber security by taking personal responsibility to understand the risks and threats, and to acknowledge and report any potential malicious or unusual activity.

If you would like to get in touch to arrange a presentation or cyber security review for your business please contact jodie.nevin@derbyshire.police.uk
