Update on Market Hall Regeneration Works

23/07/2018

Market Hall

Derby City Council have advised that the renovation work on Derby Market Hall continues on schedule. Scaffolding towers have now been installed at each end of the building to allow for the installation of cross beams whilst temporary flood lighting has also been installed. The full scaffolding and work deck should be in place by December to enable the survey of the roof to start.

The current program anticipates that the roof repairs and removal of scaffolding will be completed by September 2021. The plan will be updated in mid-2019 after the examination of the roof to determine the extent and duration of work required. Refurbishment works to the inside of the building will not take place until the roof works are completed and the scaffolding removed.

The Market Hall remains open to customers throughout the renovation works with a number of new traders scheduled to move in over the coming months.
